Left Virginia in 1966 on the Maurice Rose to Cam Rahn Bay as a Marine Engineer. In 1967 I was sent to Phan Thiet, Saigon, and U-Tapao Airforce Base in Thailand. Looking for anyone that served with me during that time.

Great Site! I served in the 25th div Infantry in 67. I extended my tour and ended up in 68 attached to the 18th mps at Long Binh. I was attached to an L.C.U. crew at Cogido. They needed an E-5 who spoke some vietnamese. We went to Vung Tau and then trained on PBRS. I have a lot of memories and pics of Cogido. I also had a great time in Vung Tau.Good luck to all!

Hey guys...I was in VN 2/70 to 3/71 and on the PBR s out of Cogido. I was an MP with the 720th, but assigned to the PBR's. Knew a lot of you guys, but can't find your names on the roster..Bob Huinnegard, Ray Hyde, Rassmussen...where are you guys?? THe 720th MP's are having a reunion May 28th-31 2009 in Washington DC and since you guys were part of us you are all eligible to attend. Just go to the 720th Mp web site.720MPreunion.org and see if you can find some of the guys you served with on the roster. THe reunion informatin is there also. Would love to reunite we the guys I was on the boat with. Email: JLowe29101@aol.com

Richard Leibel is my dad. He and I became aware of this organization through Eric Barrow. Dad was in the initial D-day landing at Omaha Beach. Recently he told me that they nicknamed the DUKW he drove the "Patio" after the Patio Salad which was popular at a local Cincinnati restaurant. His citation was for assisting troops cross the Elbe River while under enemy fire. Dad has heard from Bill Northrop and hopefully Bill will be hearing from dad soon. Bill, he loves the hat and is impressed with the detailed work that went into the design. Email: jean.walpole@clippard.com

Sounds and looks like the 2009 reunion was a complete sucess. Glad the organization has found 10 or 12 or so of the original 66/67 LARC 458 er's. I have enjoyed emailing and telephone calls to a couple of them. Hopefully a future reunion will be in Denver, Reno, Las Vegas, SF, LA , etc. Good job on the web site. We'll get mor LARC photos eventually. Email: golferedn@aol.com

Vera and I hope you all had a productive and enjoyable reunion. We were absolutely devastated because of our inability to attend. I would have liked to go on that chopper ride since I haven't been on one for over 40 years (not, lol). Thank you for your thoughts for Vera and hopefully we will be able to attend next years reunion. I had to go out and buy a new car because I guess Vera didn't like the color of the last one.
