720th MP BN

Spent some time on a PBR on the Sung Dung Na River when the 458th had a detachment working with the 720th MP's in 1968. I heard we had some water skis hidden somewhere on the boat barge but never did find them. I would like to make contact with a member of the crew of my boat. He was the engineer, a PFC,last name Drake first name not remembered. I have an embarrassing photo of him doing something, that in his later years, he would consider vary foolish. It was a dangers game we used to play when things got quiet and we were bored. I have many photos and fond memories of my days on the boats as well as the only 8mm movie film I shoot while in country. I hope all the men I served with got home ok. Fond memories of the 458th, I left the unit a few months before it was sent to Vietnam, but even in Fort Story it was known as a special unit. We were known as the "Tigers" back then.

I was at Cat Lai Feb. 70-71 with the 124th. trans co. I worked in the harbormasters office as a radio oper. I am tring to find anyone that might remember on July 22,70 a sp4 Terrance Marple that shot himself on the deck of his PBR. My claim for PTSD was denied and I need to find someone that can verify that I was there. Thank you for your time, Lee Norman
